“Before there was Occupy Wall Street…there was ACT UP.” -J. Hubbard

From chaining themselves to the balcony of the NY Stock Exchange, to disrupting a live broadcast of the CBS Evening News with the call to “Fight AIDS, not Arabs!”, the AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power opened a new chapter in the queer rights movement with a fierce and creative direct action approach that changed public health policy and the course of history. UNITED IN ANGER weaves archival footage and first-hand testimonies to rediscover the early days of a heroic fight to demand dignified treatment for people with AIDS and pays tribute to the profound grief, sexiness, and incredible energy that is the legacy of ACT UP.

all proceeds go towards training community organizers building a movement for liberation
